Taylor Furniture Ltd designed and handcrafted this contemporary shake-style island kitchen for a Derbyshire family home. Finished in Farrow and Ball's Elephant's Breath, the design combines bespoke cabinetry, quartz worktops and carefully integrated appliances to create a practical and elegant living space.
Thoughtful storage solutions, clean architectural lines and handcrafted detailing ensure the kitchen is both highly functional and timeless in appearance.
This kitchen was designed around the needs of modern family living, creating a bright and practical space for cooking, entertaining and everyday use. A large central island forms the focal point of the room, providing additional preparation space, informal seating and valuable storage.
The shaker-style cabinetry introduces character and detail without overwhelming the space, resulting in a design that feels both contemporary and enduring.
The Cabinetry is hand painted in Farrow and Ball's Elephant's Breath, creating a soft and understated backdrop throughout the room. Quartz worktops provide a durable, low maintenance surface while complementing the neutral palette of the cabinetry.
Carefully selected hardware, tiled splashbacks and layered lighting complete the design, bringing together practicality and refined detailing.
Practical storage was incorporated throughtout the kitchen, including deep pan drawers, integrated appliance housing and dedicated storage designed around the client's daily routine.
The kitchen features a Bora induction hob with integrated downdraft extraction, alongside integrated Neff appliances, allowing the design to maintain clean sightlines and an uncluttered appearance while delivering modern performance and convenience.
