Taylor Furniture Ltd recently completed a bespoke bedroom storage project featuring floor-to-ceiling spare bedroom cabinetry crafted from high-quality oak, including wardrobe hanging space, internal and display shelving, and a matching chest of drawers. This design showcases our commitment to combining functionality with elegant craftsmanship tailored to enhance any bedroom space.
Each bedroom storage commission is individually designed around the proportions and practical requirements of the room, balancing everyday usability with refined architectural detailing.
This particular project was created for a multifunctional spare bedroom, combining generous clothing storage with integrated office and paperwork organisation. the layout carefully incorporates full-height wardrobe storage alongside open shelving and lower cabinetry to create a visually balanced composition that remains highly functional for daily use.
Open display shelving was designed to keep the room feeling light and spacious while still providing practical areas for books, decorative objects and occasional workspace styling.
All cabinetry is handcrafted using our premium-grade natural lacquered oak veneered board material with solid timber lippings throughout for long-term durability and stability.
Cabinet frontages, shelving details, mouldings, and framework are manufactured in solid tulipwood, with shaker-style doors and drawer fronts carefully proportioned to complement both contemporary and traditional interiors.
Wardrobe interiors and cabinet interiors are finished in premium natural lacquered oak veneer, creating warmth and contrast against the painted exterior cabinetry. Drawers are traditionally constructed in solid oak with dovetailed joints and fitted on premium soft-close runners.
Cabinetry is finished externally in Farrow & Ball's "Green Smoke", paired with satin brass cabinet handles for a softer contemporary finish.
All cabinetry is fully manufactured within our workshop before being professionally installed on site by our master craftsman, Caroline, ensuring complete consistency in finish and detailing throughout the project.
Paint finishes are traditionally hand-laid for depth and authenticity, with careful attention given to clean architectural lines, shadow gaps and balanced proportions across the fitted furniture composition.
the final installation delivers a calm and highly functional spare bedroom environment, combining tailored clothing storage, concealed office organisation and open shelving within one cohesive fitted furniture design.
